Love to crochet? Here's a little hat/beret I think you'll like.. This is Tunny from our Bletchley Collection by Joanne Scrace, which was released in December 2014 and continues to be popular.  The original hat sample, which you can see on the Ravelry pattern page HERE was made in Milburn 4ply (that's the superwash BFL/silk) with Rust (main colour), Harvest Gold, and Night Sky (contrast colours). We still have some Rust left in the SALE section, however I really wanted something made up in Steel,   along with Askham 4ply in Ice and Damselfly. Because they're pretty together.. wouldn't you agree? So Tunny was perfect for that, I felt. It's the perfect little layer for this time of year when it's drizzling and you want something on top, but not too much. I wear my hats quite forward on my head because otherwise they just slide off (I have slippy hair?!), but it does also look great worn further back and allowed to slouch. You could also make the body deeper for a fuller slouchy beanie.    I've just stocked up on kits - well, put some together - for this cute hat. So you get the A4 printed pattern (with pdf download code), an ECY printed cotton drawstring project bag, a sachet of Soak no rise wool wash (random scent - please ask for Scentless if you'd prefer that), and of course the yarn - that's one 50g ball each of Milburn 4ply in Steel, Askham 4ply in Air, and Askham 4ply in Damselfly. The price of the kit comes to less than its individual components. DSC_1459.JPG I'll be stocking up on more kits over the coming weeks - I've not had any for ages because we've been running out of project bags, and I've been too disorganised what with shows, dyeing, and packing up to move house to actually look at how many there are and re-order (I've done it now - they should be here soon)!
