Morning (or not)! Just a quick update on the latest ECY update... I'm currently busy dyeing like mad for Yarndale, but have prepared a lovely selection of yarns and colours for the website first. One thing to note is that we will be at the Yarn In The City pop-up marketplace in London on Saturday the 5th.. we'll have a very limited amount of yarn, as space is really limited at the marketplace so we're just travelling in the car. Anyway, we will bring a small selection of the prettiest things (always a tough choice)! Anyway, on with the update....

Following my last colour-themed post, when I noticed more yarn/flower colour matching happening in the garden, of course I had to play again. This time it's all about the pink. First up.. The yarn is BFL Sock in Alpine (for Kathy's Knits in Edinburgh) - it's named for the bright pinks of many alpines, e.g. saxifrage, pincushion flowers, and... I have news! You may have already seen this message on social media, as I have just posted it, but in case you haven't: I am announcing that we are releasing our next collection soon! All I'm going to say for now is that it is quite large, we've been working on it for most of the year, and it's due out in September....

On Saturday we had an afternoon out at Bolton Abbey with our friends. It was incredibly busy, so we crossed the river and went for a walk along the other side where it was quiet and peaceful. If you haven't been I heavily recommend it; Bolton Abbey lies just off the A59 in the heart of Yorkshire, so is easy to get to and is set amongst the most beautiful and expansive landscape. So as I was hanging a batch of BFL Sock in Salvia on the line (destined for Kathy's Knits in Edinburgh) , it struck me how much purple (or nearly purple) there is around the garden... So I nabbed a skein off the line and grabbed my iPad, and had a wild few minutes putting this purple skein everywhere. Here's how it went. It's a good match for this heavily perfumed buddleja (ironically not the shade of our Buddleja colourway)...
