Milburn DK (superwash BFL/silk) yarn pack for the Spirit of Flora blanket CAL by Jane Crowfoot. The pattern is available on Jane's website HERE.
The Spirit of Flora project ran as a monthly crochet along in Inside Crochet Magazine in 2023. As the rights to the patterns have now reverted to Jane, she will be rereleasing the patterns over the summer months of 2024, starting on 24th April.
From Jane:
This project differs to my past CAL projects in that I want to encourage you to release a little of your own design potential to create a unique and personal project. I have designed twelve patterned square blocks along with some plain blocks, all of which will be shown in alternative colour orders using a palette of thirteen yarn shades.
The emphasis will be on creating a project that suits your style and purpose. You could choose to make a large blanket using forty-eight crochet squares, or you might want to make a smaller one using less motifs or fewer repeated blocks. You might want to make a bag, a cushion or a shawl for example.
There are endless possibilities and I really hope you will feel inspired to join me on this exciting crochet along journey once again.
We have created a Milburn DK yarn pack for this design with a palette as close to the recommended Stylecraft kit colours as possible.

About Milburn DK
Soft and drapey British Bluefaced Leicester wool blended with silk. This yarn comes in balls meaning you can cast on immediately!
This yarn is so light to wear, and yet lovely and warm and hardwearing, with gorgeous, rich depth of colour and a beautiful sheen from the silk. It's great for a really wide range of projects, and being machine washable makes it a bit more practical.

Machine washable on a gentle/wool cycle
Lay flat to dry
We recommend that if you are planning to use a dark colour with a pale colour to make a swatch with them both and wash it to make sure no colour contamination occurs before starting your project. Hot water in particular can make colours run; if in doubt use cool water and no soap/detergent.
