Get a sweater quantity of the yarn you want!

This listing is for Bowland 4ply, our British Bluefaced Leicester yarn, dyed to order in the quantity and colourway(s) you request - designed so that you can get sweater quantities (or more). We will dye this to order for you so that you have all one dyelot; we aim to ship the yarn within two to three weeks of your order being placed. If you order pre-order yarn with yarn that is in stock we will ship all items together once the pre-order yarn is ready.

Bowland 4ply (formerly known as BFL Sock) is a good all-round yarn, which is soft (it fluffs out more after washing), pretty hard wearing, has a beautiful gentle sheen, and is fine and drapey. This makes it great for a really wide range of projects, including accessories and garments. I find it fine for socks, but being a pure fine wool, it may not be hardwearing enough for you, so please bear that in mind.

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.

As with all hand dyed yarns, I would recommend that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds (unless it's a one-skein project).
