Purple Yarn
Yesterday I was in the main office/stockroom and noticed a few purples near to each other, which took my fancy. So today I give you: a gallery of purple yarn. From left to right (above) they are: Whitfell Chunky in Damson; Malham DK in Salvia; Derwent 4ply in Salvia; Tempo DK in Buddleja; Bowland DK in Buddleja; Milburn 4ply skein in Damson; Milburn 4ply ball in Damson; and Theseus Lace in Salvia. And of course, they're all over at the ECY website. Or at least they are until they sell out. Then they may or may not be. ...

December Update Yarn
Today's post is just a preview of tomorrow's update.. After such a grey and wet Autumn, a little colour is welcome. There are batches of hand dyed Bowland DK in Ash, Woodland, Hazel, Twig, and Marigold. There are also batches of hand dyed BFL Sock in Compost, Larch, Falling Leaves, and Tarn. The Whitfell DK in Steel finally arrived - pre-orders went out earlier this week, but the rest of this batch will be available in this update. There is a limited quantity for the moment! You'll notice these balls look bigger than the balls...

October's handmade wardrobe
I thought I'd share some of the handmade wardrobe we used last month - after all, his is largely what it's all about, isn't it? Well, it is for me, although I enjoy most of the process of making things too. Without further ado... Daydreamer Socks in Milburn 4ply (85% British BFL/15% silk) in Harevst Gold. New yarn!
I'm sure many of you will have seen news of these yarns floating around the ether, but for those who haven't - we have some new yarn! I'm trying to bring more neutral shades into our mill dyed yarn ranges, and if you're wondering why I didn't do that in the first place, well I just didn't have enough shades to choose to be able to fit in all the neutrals I would like! I felt I had to go for maybe one neutral, but the rest should be not-neutral. These days I might have had the confidence to pick...
