Yey for grey!

Happy news! The Whitfell DK in Steel is finally here. We have to label it all, and then the pre-ordered yarn will go out tomorrow morning..    ..The rest of the remaining yarn will be in Sunday's update at 12 noon. I have a very limited quantity, and I'm not sure how long it'll take to get more.     So.. I'd better crack on with the labelling!

Kirkstall Abbey in November

It's not the kind of day that looks like a good one to go out if I'm honest - it's blowing a gale, dark, murky, and showery. But we did, and Kirkstall Abbey was looking lovely with all the autumn leaves around. I'll show you the knitwear we photographed another time. ;)                                 Finally, does anyone know why these windows are not all the same size? You can see that they're not the original window sizes, but the original sizes also are not all the same size, which seems odd.

New yarn!

New yarn!

I'm sure many of you will have seen news of these yarns floating around the ether, but for those who haven't - we have some new yarn! I'm trying to bring more neutral shades into our mill dyed yarn ranges, and if you're wondering why I didn't do that in the first place, well I just didn't have enough shades to choose to be able to fit in all the neutrals I would like! I felt I had to go for maybe one neutral, but the rest should be not-neutral. These days I might have had the confidence to pick...

Making winter: bringing colour indoors

As some of you may have seen on Twitter or Instagram, the lovely Silver Pebble is running a project called #making_winter - the idea is to connect people who struggle with winter, with people who love winter.. Why? Well hopefully those of us who love this time of year can help inspire, cheer, and add cosiness to the winter months for those of you who find it difficult. There is much to love and celebrate about this time of year! Mrs Pebs will be blogging about this from now until March next year, but if you look for the hashtag...
