Pattern Inspiration

Earlier this year we were very excited about the Kismet sweater by Rachel Illsley of Unwind Knitwear as it included our yarn, which is such an honour. Kismet is a colourwork sweater using four colours and small intricate patterns inspired by composer Alexis Ffrench. You can find the pattern for it sweater HERE. As well as our 4ply Yarnlings we have DK ones too. These are 10g balls of yarn as we thought that doing 5g of DK seemed too small to be worth it. Like the 4ply version, this cowl is a simple and fun project to do with our Lucky Dip Yarnlings - it uses 10 of them which you can get from THIS page on our website. The DK version is just that bit more cosy than the 4ply version and I've found myself using both cowls just as much, depending on the weather! Initially released late in 2019, Magic Circles Scarf is a beautiful scarf (it's called that but we'd describe it as a wrap tbh!) design from Janie Crow. Cat Knits by Marna Gilligan of 'an caitin beag' (she of sinister cat fame!) is a book of 16 knit designs all featuring Marna's signature kitties on a mixture of garments and accessories. It's a wide-ranging book actually - it feels like there's more than 16 items in there. Each chapter covers a different yarn weight, so there's a 4ply section, and DK section, an Aran section, and a Chunky section.
