Joji MKAL yarn packs
So.. I'm sure you'll have heard about Joji Locatelli's latest MKAL - the Starting Point wrap. It requires five colours of yarn, which is great for stashbusting unless like me your extensive stash is surprisingly uncohesive and you're therefore struggling to actually put five things together. Anyway, I'm normally very very behind with things like this (I'm talking years behind), so here's a surprise - we have put together some yarn packs for you for this MKAL and it's before the start date! Granted only just, but it still counts. I'll start by saying these are in the kits section...
Bowland DK update preview
Hello! I thought it'd be useful to show you a preview of Sunday's Bowland DK update... it goes live at 1pm UK time. Here's most of it: I've done sweater quantities of all of it - it's been so long since we did the last Bowland update that we had none left, so I was really starting from scratch again. There are three Cottage Originals batches included. There's also a batch of Sparrow, which is what Lori Versaci used in her Summer Fog cardigan pattern. Those white tags are for office use only - they'll be coming off the yarn!...

Ewe & Ply: a new LYS in Shrewsbury
Today I thought I'd introduce you to one of our lovely new stockists, Ewe & Ply, which is based in Shrewsbury - the gallery level of the market hall to be more accurate. I've seen pics of the market hall and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I used to love market halls as a teenager, for their little independent and quirky shops, and these days they seem to have either gone really cheap and rubbish, or more upmarket - Shrewsbury has done the latter, evidently (which I applaud)! Anyway, we sent Teri and Becca some of our lovely yarn recently, and they...

And of course, they're all over at the ECY website. Or at least they are until they sell out. Then they may or may not be. ...

October's handmade wardrobe
I thought I'd share some of the handmade wardrobe we used last month - after all, his is largely what it's all about, isn't it? Well, it is for me, although I enjoy most of the process of making things too. Without further ado... Daydreamer Socks in Milburn 4ply (85% British BFL/15% silk) in Harevst Gold. Chromium (by David) in Whitfell DK (100% baby alpaca) in Ebony, Steel (which is coming soon), and Natural. Jen by Josée Paquin in Hayton 4ply (merino/cashmere/nylon) And Tiny Shoots by Kate Heppell in Milburn 4ply in Rust (this top layers incredibly well...
