New pattern alert! (Cornhill)

Afternoon! I hope today is treating you well. Seeing as it's a Friday and I'm blitzing through admin today, one of the things I had on the to do list was 'publish Cornhill'. So it's done. You can find it here on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cornhill It's a very simple shawl (or scarf) which uses 400m of each of two colours of 4ply. Or you could use different contrast colours which you could use smaller amounts for. With British summer now in full swing, it feels like we can just about manage with some lighter knitwear now.. So when it's raining and windy outside but not actually that cold, what better than a light lace beret? The Thornfield Collection comprises three pieces by Jane Burns (of Lazy Sunday Socks fame - blogged HERE), featuring the most beautiful combination of lace, cables, and optional sparkly beads. Drachenfels: a three colour shawl

So... Drachenfels by the lovely Melanie Berg - it's fair to say I'm late to the party on this. But I'm so glad I finally made it. You can see my Ravelry project page (it's linked to the pattern page too) HERE for a start. I found this pattern easy, relaxing, and addictive. Normally, I'm bored of projects by about 70% of the way through (probably because I'm usually sample knitting and need to hurry up), but despite being largely garter stitch this did hold my attention right to the end. And the I-cord bind off is a stroke of genius....
