Willow Hat: intro, notes, and a finished project gallery

The second accompaniment to the Willow Shawl and the final in the trilogy 🤣. The hat was much more complicated to figure out due to the decreases, and using Stitchmastery software really has been crucial in getting these patterns written up. The pattern has a fitted beanie option and a slouchy option.  If made according to the pattern this hat should use 30-50g of yarn. The full set of three Willow accessories has been designed to use almost all of two skeins of Keld Fingering. This means if you buy the yarn for the shawl you can make the mitts and hat from the...

Rokeby Hat - a houndstooth colourwork hat pattern

The third pattern in the Rokeby series, the Rokeby Hat joins the Rokeby mitts and Rokeby Cowl. All three accessories feature a simple houndstooth motif and the items work well together in mis-matched colours as well as colour coordinated sets.  The pattern uses two 50g balls of Milburn 4ply, one each of Compost and Thyme. Cat Knits by Marna Gilligan of 'an caitin beag' (she of sinister cat fame!) is a book of 16 knit designs all featuring Marna's signature kitties on a mixture of garments and accessories. Each chapter covers a different yarn weight, so there's a 4ply section, and DK section, an Aran section, and a Chunky section. Each section has a garment AND matching accessories included, and they range from nice simple textures, to stranded colourwork (like sinister cats), to intarsia. Intarsia! I swear that this...
