Pattern Inspiration: Hetton
This squooshy scarf is Hetton by Tracey Todhunter.. it's a simple enough pattern but the stitches make it really cosy. It's perfect for colder days. This pink sample is made using Whitfell DK in Fuchsia and took four 50g balls. It's also perfect for two 100g skeins of any other DK. This green version is Bowland DK in Algae. I've worn this scarf a LOT over the winter. It's just so squidgy and lovely!

This squooshy sample was knitted in Pendle 4ply in Apricot Tulip, Steel, and Linen. The pattern is listed as being for DK, but it will work in pretty much any weight yarn - 4ply, sport, DK, worsted, or aran. Next up is my DK weight Colour Trail - this cosy and elegant shawl is knitted in Titus DK, which...

Acer: a crocheted shawl
Today I thought I'd talk about Acer by Joanne Scrace of The Crochet Project. I know many of you will recognise it as I was showing my progress on Facebook and Instagram in March whilst I was making it. It took a while actually; I didn't realise why until I blocked it and saw how big it is. I usually wear shawls back to front like so.. Anyhow, Acer is my first bit of proper crochet.. I've made amigurumi and several ripple blankets but that's it. So it felt like a bit of a daunting project, but I just...
