Here's a gallery of projects made in Brimham Aran. It's currently a very short list despite the fact that it's sold well since I introduced it (it's still a fairly new yarn).
Brimham Aran (100g/180m) is superwash extrafine merino/nylon which is lovely and squishy and soft yet hardwearing. It's a brilliant choice for garments as well as accessories.
Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here.
Do you have a project using Brimham Aran which you would like me to include in this gallery? Email me at info@edencottageyarns.co.uk with an image and the pattern information and I will add it.
Honeycomb Hat and Scarf by Natalie Warner (Natalie in Stitches)
- 5 x 100g skeins for the scarf
- 2 x 100g skeins for the hat
- the pattern was published in Knitting Magazine in August 2023 but you can see the rest of Natalie's designs on her website HERE.
As you can see, Brimham Aran is amazing for cables!

Swainby Hat by Victoria Magnus (hi that's me)
- 1 x 100g skein
- pattern available on Ravelry, Payhip, and the ECY website HERE.
I designed this because I fancied a textured aran hat.. it's that simple. This one was the first iteration which I tried after all the swatching. The colourway is White Iris which I only do on occasion.
Swainby Hat version two - the official one
This was the one where I decided I was happy with the fit and the crown decreases. The colourway is Ash - it's a classic.
I hope this has inspired you!
