It occurred to us that it might be really useful to have an ECY way to browse patterns and projects made using specific yarns, for inspiration and ideas. It's one of those things where once you think of it it seems blatantly obvious 🙈🤣
Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. We've linked to patterns and projects that are available to purchase/view elsewhere.
Titus Fingering is a beautiful luxury singles yarn which has that classic shine and lustre from the silk, but also has the structure and bounce of merino wool. It strikes us as primarily a garment and shawl yarn, but testing is showing that it works really well at a much tighter gauge too for things like fingerless mitts, hats, and cowls. The only thing I really wouldn't recommend it for is socks.
The first part of this blog post will give you patterns that specifically call for Titus Fingering and the second part shows you our projects using this yarn. Do you have a project in Titus Fingering that you would like us to include? Email us at info@edencottageyarns.co.uk with an image and the pattern information and we will add it. This page will grow over time as more designs are released and more projects finished!

Driùchdan by Liz Corke - Tide
An assymetric triangular shawl combining garter stitch with an easy to remember lace pattern. The pattern is designed with three sizes in mind, one skein, two skeins and three skeins.
Zetland Shawl by Apoorva Designs - Sea Spray and Tide
A two skein shawl combining a simple body with a beautiful lace edging designed to reflect waves.
Liath-Reòthadh by Liz Corke - Steel
Knit from the top down like a traditional triangular shawl, Liath-Reòthadh is joined in the round just before the lace starts turning it from shawl to cowlette. The border on this cowlette is made up of little arrows which grow into large leaves at the edge. This is a single skein project giving a finished top circumference of 58.5cm (23") and depth of 49cm (19").
Projects
Willow Mitts by Victoria Magnus - Sea Spray
These mitts should use approximately 40g of 4ply/fingering weight yarn. The mitts feature one column of the lace pattern set in simple mitt base. The set of three accessories can be made with two 100g skeins.
Willow Hat by Victoria Magnus - Charcoal
A matching accessory to the mitts and original Willow shawl. The hat is worked from the brim upwards with pattern decreases towards the crown. All three accessories can be made using 800m of 4ply/fingering weight yarn.
Machine knit Boxy - colourway: Granite
This machine knit uses the base of Boxy by Joji Locatelli but without the garter stitch elements. This pattern is written in seven sizes ranging from 28/30 - 52/54 with finished body circumference from 64 - 76 inches (160 - 190cm) and sleeve circumference at the elbow of 9 - 13 inches (22½ - 32½ cm). This sweater can fit a big range of sizes so aim for the sleeve circumference as you don't want this to be too tight. It is designed to be cropped but can easily be lengthened. You will need four or five skeins.
I hope that's been helpful and inspiring! If you have any projects that you'd like to see featured here please send your high-res photos and info to us at the email address at the top. 😍
