The Crochet Project projects by Sparkles
Hi all, Laura here again with more of my adventures in crochet! You may have seen our recent posts about the upcoming Skimming Stones MCAL from The Crochet Project. I am very excited to take part in this as it is the perfect opportunity to combine crochet and our yarns! This will not be my first attempt at a pattern from The Crochet Project as in the past year I have completed quite a few projects and I would like to share these with you. In September, I had the honour of being a bridesmaid for my friend at her...
A cosy aran weight knitted shawl: Midnight Sunset
We're very keen on all things cosy right now - winter in the UK seems to shift a bit later every year which is great for us knitters and crocheters who love to bundle up in our handmade pieces. It's a big semi-circle shawl which has both lace and cosy garter stitch sections, and rather unusually it's made in aran weight yarn. You don't see that many shawls in aran, but when it's properly cold outside...

I made my first one (HERE on Ravelry) whilst on holiday in Norfolk with a group of ten friends, so I needed something super-easy. As I posted on the Everyday Knitter group at...

Ebb and Flow - a new collection by Anni Howard
Hello! Today I wanted to tell you about something we've mentioned in our newsletter but haven't talked about on here - Anni Howard's latest new collection, Ebb and Flow, a range of knit and crochet designs inspired by the bleak beauty of the Essex coastline and river estuaries. Eden Cottage Yarns are used in three of the four designs. Here's the whole collection together - you can really see the soft, bleak palette and rich textures, and I think they work beautifully with my yarns - I love bleak landscapes and barely-there colours, and find them incredibly compelling. Strood Strood is...
