Introducing: The Shawl Project Book 5 from The Crochet Project, featuring laceweight yarn!

The latest book from Joanne and Kat of The Crochet Project has arrived. Book 5 is a bit different from those that have come before as it features designs using laceweight yarn. Using laceweight yarns for a shawl or wrap gives you great value for money and produces a lovely light summery accessory. This book combines the great design you would expect from Joanne and Kat along with the delicate elegance created with laceweight yarn. Find it on the website HERE. All five designs are pitched at intermediate crochet skill level but the Love Triangles Shawl can be adjusted to...

"If you like it then you oughta knit a cat on it!"

Cat Knits by Marna Gilligan of 'an caitin beag' (she of sinister cat fame!) is a book of 16 knit designs all featuring Marna's signature kitties on a mixture of garments and accessories. It's a wide-ranging book actually - it feels like there's more than 16 items in there. Each chapter covers a different yarn weight, so there's a 4ply section, and DK section, an Aran section, and a Chunky section. Looking for knitting pattern inspiration for mohair??

Eldwick Lace is the fluffiest of fluffy yarns, with its silky core and gorgeous halo of soft mohair.. but what to make with it? There are plenty of options as always, but sometimes we need a bit of inspiration, and pointing in the right direction, don't we?! Once you get going you'll want to make ALL the things! With 400m per 50g skein this yarn goes a long way, and because of the fluff you can use large needles with it and it still creates a warm and cosy fabric. There's a more expansive blog post all about it HERE...
