Introducing: the need for tweed, with Keswick Fingering and Keswick DK yarns
Introducing… the need for tweed! At this point you may have already heard of two of our new (for 2020) yarns - Keswick Fingering, and Keswick DK. They debuted in June and I did a Shedcast episode about them, so this blog post is to go with that. It’s not a direct transcript because I find that typed up blog posts work better following their own narrative, but I will make sure I cover everything that I covered in the video in case you cannot watch it. Firstly, let me tell you exactly what it is - it’s 85%...

Keld Fingering: projects and patterns using our merino and linen blend yarn
This blog post is designed as a useful resource for inspiration for a specific yarn. There are projects that use it, and patterns that call for it. It's so handy to have all this in one place! Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. We've linked to patterns and projects that are available to purchase/view elsewhere. If they're only available on Ravelry we will say that, but not link to it. Keld Fingering is a beautiful blend of superwash merino with linen. The linen stands out on medium-dark colours as it doesn't take the dye the same...

Titus 4ply: projects and patterns using our classic merino/silk blend yarn
It occurred to us recently that it might be really useful to have an ECY way to browse patterns and projects made using specific yarns, for inspiration and ideas. It's one of those things where once you think of it it seems blatantly obvious 🙈🤣 Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. We've linked to patterns and projects that are available to purchase/view elsewhere. Titus 4ply is probably our best selling yarn and is a firm favourite with many of our customers. It's certainly one of the oldest types and the fact that it is still going strong...

Brimham 4ply: projects and patterns using merino/nylon sock yarn

Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. We've linked to patterns and projects that are available to purchase/view elsewhere. If they're only available on Ravelry we will say that, but not link to it. Brimham 4ply is is a soft and bouncy sock yarn. The fine merino wool is the same quality as you will find in our other merino yarns...

Introducing our sparkly Rosedale 4ply yarn!
This is a really long overdue blog post (oops!), as Rosedale has been in production and proving popular for a few months now, but it’s still worth writing about I think! For those who aren’t familiar with it yet, Rosedale 4ply is superwash extrafine merino with nylon and gold Stellina which is what sparkles. It’s *really* difficult to get the sparkle to show up in photos unfortunately! But under the kitchen spotlights and in the sunshine it is absolutely gorgeous. It’s more subtle than the Lurex sparkle which is what’s in Nateby 4ply. The colours in the pic below are...
