Bowland DK is one of my longest-stocked yarns and has been with me since the very beginning of ECY in 2011! Like the other siblings in the Bowland range, Bowland DK is pure superwash British Bluefaced Leicester (BFL). This wool is quintessentially British and isn't produced on a commercial scale anywhere else, so with a limited supply and ever-high demand it can be pretty costly. Lowther Lace - fluff that won't get your goat
By now you will hopefully have seen our latest fluffy yarn addition to the ECY stable (or should I say.. garden) - Lowther Lace. We had seen this yarn around for a while but had been resisting as we already had a fluffy yarn, Eldwick Lace. Introducing Azalea: a new shade of Milburn
Nearly two years ago (!) we announced that four shades of Milburn would be replaced. We are so excited to now announce that the final new shade is Azalea. Azalea is a light, zingy pink with a hint of coral. You may be wondering about the choice of another pink to add to the palette but I feel like this is a proper pinky pink. One of the original five shades of Milburn 4ply introduced in 2013, Damson has been a firm favourite ever since. That was until the introduction of Black Tulip in the third wave of colours anyway.
