Introducing Dusk - the latest shade in the Milburn palette 💜
So... we have a beautiful new Milburn colourway!! We have been planning and working on replacing four colours for quite a while now - at least 12 months I think; possibly more (I've lost track). We have now done three! First to sell out was Dogwood which was replaced with Crocosmia, as this seemed like a close-ish swap. Crocosmia was a tried and tested colour that proved popular on the mill dyed Askham 4ply and as a hand dyed colourway. Plus I love orange and there wasn't an orange on the palette so this felt like a no-brainer. Autumn Fields DK...
Titus 4ply: projects and patterns using our classic merino/silk blend yarn
It occurred to us recently that it might be really useful to have an ECY way to browse patterns and projects made using specific yarns, for inspiration and ideas. It's one of those things where once you think of it it seems blatantly obvious 🙈🤣 Just FYI - there are no links to Ravelry here. Milburn 4ply and DK in Dogwood - not just for Christmas! ❤️
Our beautiful classic red, Dogwood, was initially a colour found on Whitfell DK. Due to its popularity and the discontinuing of the base we wanted it to live on and so it was included in the fourth wave of new colours of Milburn 4ply. As alluded to in the title, this is definitely a very festive red, evocative of holly berries and the suits of jolly men, but we don't think it should be confined to the winter months!
